JSTKD Taekwondo students triumph in charity event in Dorset

On the 27th of January Taekwondo students from Rhoose and llantwit Major travelled to Dorset, England to compete in the Sam Aldridge Cup.

This Tournament was founded by Master Gordon Fearn, England Team Captain and former world champion, to support and donate to charity.

Sam Aldridge was a brave young man who fought against cancer some years ago, he achieved his Black Belt in Taekwondo and every year a tournament is attended by students from all areas to raise money.

On the day Mr Schembri Head Instructor of JSTKD TKD schools took the Rhoose and Llantwit team to the event resulting in many medals won in both the Patterns and Sparring categories. The parents and students from around the area showed great team work as they fought hard and supported each other throughout the day.

“Our students acted with a great respect won a medal in most divisions. They really representedthemselves and where they come from well” – Congratulations to all who took part!!!
