Our Update for W/c 18 May
Hello all at JSTKD – we are well into this lock down & I want to send stuff out to all that are part of the club & classes.
I hope that you are all well staying safe & active.
I know that you are not all on our Zoom live classes and online training content, but those of you that are still wanting to training can frequently look on our joint youtube channel with Miss Oury.
We have lots of content with some of our live classes recorded please take a look.
Some people’s circumstances may have changed & if you want to access the live online stuff then PM me & I can arrange it.
With over 8 classes per week we now have a series of classes from our good friend & 8th Degree Black Belt Master Tony Curtis
Here is a link to an amazing demo by his team in the 1992 world champs – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgBQrVOeHB0
And this is me fighting at the ATI Perth Australian super center against a Thai boxer , being coached by Master Curtis –http://www.jstkd.co.uk/mr-schembri-sparring-footage/
THE JSTKD APP –
On my last contact I spoke about our new JSTKD App. It’s coming on great & shortly I will be sending out the link its free & on most application sites, we will continue to build this FREE app & I’m sure it will be a better way of communicating with parents & students.
The T Shirt Comp –
Awesome work by everyone & thank you so much for all the drawings, but there can only be one winner.
We have now chosen our winner of the T shirt competition its Freya Thomas, Freya is a Black Stripe from Dinas Powys JSTKD, she is also on the SAS team assisting every Wednesday without fail, she’s great with the children & is always smiling.
Freya at the moment is still in school as her mum is a key worker & I can only imagine her to be a great support to mum at this awkward time.
Well done Freya – we will have a photo of the Master Oliver wearing her winning design very shortly. At the moment we are getting one made up for Freya & Master Oliver and the t shirt will be on sale very soon
Remember all proceeds will go to the NHS, we want to support this cause as a team!!! So please if you can, order one.
Lastly I have no idea when we will return as they say the leisure industry will be the last ones back out there working. I know I won’t be allowed in the schools, but I have 3 community centers & at present moment designing a time table of social distance classes, they may 40 minute slots but I will be back ASAP.
Stay safe & be strong always JSTKD
